Back to work (Again)

Another holiday ends and another standby month begins. Despite the weather we had a great summer. Lots of walking around the Cotswolds and a weekend trip to the Brecon Beacons. The floods in July didn’t effect our house and I had the opportunity to show my manliness by saving Jo on a Bicycle even though I forgot to bring socks. We had a trip up to Sheffield to see Nigel & Stella for some walking, retail therapy, and fantastic Jambolia. In August it was Trev & Steph’s blessing in Lechlade and a chance to catch up with the latest local gossip. September was time to head off to Kalkan for our Anniversary Hols for cerebral walks with Mike and cocktails on boat trips with Robert & Jo.
My standby month started at 6am the day after we got home and by 7am I was on my way to Miami - Let’s hope it doesn’t continue like that.

Back to Work

We got back from a fantastic trip to Croatia on the 28th and Jo was in to work first thing the next morning. Since then I’ve been to Miami and back and Jo is in the air on her way to Malta. She gets back on Wednesday morning and in the evening I’m off to Mumbai and she’s off again to Spain. For me the rest of the month is Newark, LA, Mumbai (again) and Boston. For Jo it’s Cyprus, another trip to Spain and something else in the pipeline. So all in all a busy month. Happy birthday Ma and Hubey by the way!!
It was fantastic to see Zvonimir and his Dad in Croatia. I hope you like the photos. We completely fell in love with the country and the people. It was strange to think that we last saw him so many years ago.

Terry and Margaret come down South

Had a lovely afternoon over at Barbara & Charles’ catching up with Cousin Terry and Margaret Ainsworth. A gorgeous afternoon in a beautiful garden. The photos weren’t great as we were all squinting in the sunshine unfortunately, but I’ll post them if you ask.

Standby Month!

I’m halfway through the dreaded standby month and it’s fine. So far I’ve been called out for a Narita and a New York but I’m back on tomorrow at 2hrs notice so anything could happen - how exciting!
I’ve finally got round to adding the pictures from Sri Lanka which seems to be about 6 months ago already and I’ll try to add the comments supplied by Barbara to Dads Album page as soon as possible. (Thanks Barbara!)
The big worry is whether I’m going to be around for the concert of the year, The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain rocking Cheltenham on the 23rd. All very worrying!

Back from Mumbai again, exactly a week later but managed to land on time and get to the pub before closing for a long delayed beer with Jon and the cream of Lechlade society. It’s the little things that matter.
Jo’s already in Sri Lanka, and I should get to Colombo on Saturday. It’s freezing here at the moment so I’m looking forward to some winter sunshine to raise the spirits.
